Clinical Information

Multiplex bead assay – screens for anti-dsDNA, anti-Sm, anti-RNP, anti-SSA, anti-SSB, anti-Scl70, anti-centromere, anti-Jo-1, anti-Sm/RNP, Ribosomal P, and Chromatin. Antibodies included in screen are orderable as individual tests.

Individual antibody tests recommended for further evaluation of patients with positive screen, additional physician orders are required.

Typically the ENA test includes SSA, SSB, Sm, and RNP, even though many clinicians want all 11 antibodies that are screened. Must call and confirm with clinician if they want all or specifically which antibodies.
