Specimen Type: Plasma

Container/Tube: Lavender top (EDTA)

Volume: 3 mL

Minimum Volume: 1 mL plasma

Collection Instructions: Cool immediately on ice. Centrifuge at 900 x g for 10 minutes at 4° C. The centrifugation should be performed within 20 minutes of collection. Carefully remove 1 mL of plasma from the upper part of the tube and transfer to a plastic vial and freeze.

COLLECTION NOTE: Volumes listed are in serum or plasma, draw approximately 2 1/2 times the requested volume in whole blood.
