Container(s): Sterile Container
Preferred Volume to Collect: 5.0 mL
Minimum Volume to Collect: 3.0 mL
Neonate Volume to Collect: 2.0 mL
Collection Instructions:
- Random Urine
- No preservative
- Ambient specimen must be received in the Lab within 2 hours
- If delay, keep the specimen refrigerated and send to the Lab as soon as possible.
- Specimen must be received in Lab for analysis within 24 hours of collection.
- Microbiology must have clean catch specimen collection for urine culture
