Epic Code LAB3496 Adenovirus, PCR, Quantitative, Plasma/Whole Blood

Important Note

Specimens received in the Molecular Department by 11:00 AM Monday through Friday will be resulted the same day. For any specimens of an urgent nature that may arrive after the designated cutoff times, please contact the Molecular Department at 616.486.6280.

Test Name Alias

Adenovirus Quant PCR | Adenovirus DNA Quant | 7019

Interface Order Alias

11756

Clinical Information

Results are reported in copies per milliliter (c/mL).  The lower quantitative sensitivity was validated to 200 c/mL.  To facilitate longitudinal tracking, if no viral DNA is detected, the result is reported as 0 (zero).  Low positive results, below 200 c/mL, will be reported, but should be interpreted with caution.  Viral loads greater than the upper limit of the assay are reported as >10 million.
