Container(s):  Sterile Urine Cup / Plastic screw-top transport tube

Preferred Volume to Collect: 10.0 mL

Minimum Volume to Collect: 1.0 mL

 

Collection Instructions:

  • Urine specimen must be collected on site at lab or office. Do not send collection container home with patient.
  • Keep container upright at all times and check that lid is fastened evenly and securely.

Reference Range

A urine Phencyclidine (PCP) result of  < 25 is a NEGATIVE result (25 ng/mL is the lower reporting limit for this LCMS confirmation assay).  

Values reported ≥ to 25 should be interpreted as POSITIVE.
